Who Runs Stella
Stella is a personal project. The project owner controls how account and saved-history data is used. You can contact the project owner at ric.newton@gmail.com.
What Stella Collects
- Account details from Firebase Authentication, such as your email address and login provider ID.
- Prompts and enhanced prompts you enter or generate.
- Generated images, 3D models, OpenSCAD files, and related saved-session metadata.
- Technical data needed to keep you logged in and run the service, such as auth cookies.
Why Stella Uses This Data
- To provide login and saved history.
- To restore your previous prompts, images, and generated models.
- To generate content through configured providers such as OpenRouter and Replicate.
- To protect the service, debug errors, and prevent misuse.
The main legal basis for saved history is providing the service you ask for when you log in. Security and basic operations may also rely on legitimate interests.
Service Providers
Stella uses Firebase for authentication, database storage, and private file storage. Prompts, images, and model-generation inputs may be sent to configured AI providers, including OpenRouter and Replicate, when you use those features. Those providers, hosting services, and Firebase backups or operational logs may retain limited copies under their own terms and retention policies.
Cookies And Local Storage
Stella uses login cookies and browser storage needed to run the app, keep you signed in, and recover active generation state. If you save sessions before using cloud history, prompts, images, and models may also be stored in this browser's local storage. You can clear local Stella data through the app's local session controls or by clearing site data for Stella in your browser. The repository does not currently include advertising or analytics cookies. Add a consent banner before adding non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies.
Retention And Deletion
Cloud saved sessions are kept until you delete them. You can delete individual sessions or all cloud history from the History drawer, and you can delete saved history from the account menu. This deletes Stella session rows and stored artifacts. You can also delete your account from the account menu when account deletion is configured on the server. These controls do not necessarily delete provider logs, backups, or third-party retained copies.
Your Choices
If privacy law applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. Contact ric.newton@gmail.com to exercise those rights. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the ICO. If you are in the EU, you can contact your local data protection authority.
Children
Stella is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not log in or save history.
